Bah Humbug...

Never will you hear those words come out of my mouth... We have already started our Christmas decorating and music listening in the Lollar house! I know it has been a while since I have blogged, so I will try and update you as best I can. I have been through two surgeries as of lately and am fully recovered and doing well. The kids did great through everything and have been wonderful little helpers for their Daddy and Mommy. We visited two Harvest festivals this season. One at Mt. Zion and one at East End. Alyssa was a Pirate:

And Drew was, well Drew...The first night he said he was an Army man and the second he was a Ninja, but he never keeps his full costume on for long:

We went and made some pics at Country Pumpkins that turned out pretty good as well!

I couldn't possibly share all my favorites...
But, before I go I will leave you with a few of Drew and Alyssa helping me decorate...

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Red Light Special!

So Drew is having issues with not being able to keep a green light at school. He and another child are partners in crime I am sure. So I am trying a new incentive program. I posted this on the wall on Sunday.
So I drop him off at school on Monday and remind him of his goal and he assures me he will get a green...later that evening...Mom opens folder...RED LIGHT!!!!! Ughhh, anybody got any ideas. The poor child has lost TV, and Game privelages. All he does now is read his AR book and do his homework...sad...

Make-up Artist in the making!

Alyssa got into mommy's make-up this weekend. She was so proud that she had done her own make-up. She will be giving free makeover at a Belk near you...stay tuned for details...lol

Dove season begins...

So I have the cutest little tom boy. Daddy went dove hunting this past Saturday. He brought home his kill and Drew and Alyssa got right in on the cleaning...

WARNING...If you are anti-hunting, cleaning, eating, you may not want to view these pics! LOL

Drew showing me that he got blood on him...

Drew's 6th Birthday Preparations

Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged, it's been pretty busy around the Lollar house. We are finally beginning to adjust to our new schedules with school and all and now I am hit with the reality that my first baby will be SIX at the end of the month. My they grow up too fast. He has requested that we have an "Army Ranger" themed party. I thought it would be easy, but of course was not all too impressed with all the pre-made store bought party supplies for this. Of course I am cheap and want to cut corners as much as possible, so I decided to work 3 times harder and make everything myself...smart huh? It has been somewhat fun though! I thought I would share a few pics and see what you all think... So here ya go!

These are the goody bags for the kids...Drew's comment was, "Mom, why are you painting the bottom of my boots?" He's so silly!

The invites...I addressed the children as Private so-and-so...I thought it was a nice touch!

I plan on making a cupcake-cake that is a battle field with army men and tanks and all that jazz...I will post pictures if I am successful!

Catching up on the past...

Just thought I would add some really great photos that my friend and I took of the kids so that you all could catch up to the present with the young-uns...

Drew going to VBS!

DUCK DUCK.....GOOSE!!

As Jennifer said Duck Duck Goose I'm it!!! Jennifer tagged me to do the 6 unimportant things about me, that make me, me list so here it goes!!

1. First of all nothing is unimportant about me! LOL j/j Let's see, I am a collector, not of anything in particular, but of many things! I collect scrapbooking supplies, shoes (i hate wearing them, but love having them), holiday decorations, etc. This lead to a very cluttered home, those of you who have been there know!

2. I adore school supplies! If I am ever having a bad day, a new ink pen can turn it all around! pens, note pads, pencils, crayons, markers, glue....ahhhh I can smell it now! School supplies! Heaven!

3. I cannot go for a whole week and not see my friends. If I am shut up in my house everyday with not social interaction outside of work I think I may spontaneously combust. I know my husband doesn't like being around me very much, so he allows me "friend time". Ha ha

4. I hate gettin gmy hair wet. I really secretly freak out in my mind when I think there is a possibility that my hair may get wet. This has been really trying for me this summer as we have spent so much time at the river and in the pool...my BF Lindy will have a hayday with this one!

5. A man with ungroomed fingernails and toenails best keep away... I will so go off if you can't trim that nastyness up! Ughhh!

6. I am addicted to "celebrity smut" magazines...US Weekly, Star, etc. I don't know, I just feel soooo much better about my life after reading all the drama and rediculous media over these folks. I feel no remorse over it either...they get PAID well enough. If they did not want that kind of attention, then maybe they should have applied to be an ID Card Manager at a local Women's University...LOL

Now let me hear from Brooke, LK, and Tomekia...

Drew's First Day of School!

Today was Drew's first day of kindergarten ~tear~... He was so excited. While I was fixing my hair, he walks in fully dressed, with his hair fixed and his backpack on! He was so ready! I held up pretty well I think, no tears, just watery eyes as I drove off. He has a great teacher and I really like the school! I can't wait to see how his day went this afternoon!

Patiently waiting on Mom to get ready!
A very proud and excited young man.

Mrs. Williams and Drew.
Before long he will be taller than her!
